UNLV led nearly wire to wire in San Diego, bullying the Aztecs in a 76-68 victory.
The Rebels improved to 11-7 overall and 5-2 in Mountain West play while the Aztecs fell to 11-5 (4-3).
Dedan Thomas had one of his best performances as a collegian with 19 points, five assists, and a perfect 10-of-10 performance at the free-throw line. As he did last time out against Utah State, Thomas was clutch in sealing the game down the stretch.
The Rebels outrebounded the Aztecs 37-32 while forcing 14 turnovers.
UNLV now returns home to the Thomas & Mack Center for two critical games next week, facing Wyoming on Tuesday and New Mexico on Saturday.
