UNLV continued its dominance over the New Mexico Lobos with an 80-77 win over #25 New Mexico at the Pit in Albuquerque.

The Rebels have won four straight conference games, their best streak since the 2020-2021. UNLV has won 10 of 11 against New Mexico including four out of five games at the Pit.

Freshman Dedan Thomas Jr. scored a career-high 25 points Saturday night at the sold-out Pit. Thomas was 8 of 12 from the field and he went 8 of 10 from the free throw line with four assists.

With the game tied at 72 with 1:30 to go, Kalib Boone's drained a shot in the paint and his brother Keylan's two free throws gave the Rebels a 76-72 lead. The Lobos cut it to two, but two more free throws by Keylan Boone gave UNLV a four-point advantage again with four seconds to go. A late Lobo 3-pointer cut it to one point with a second to go and Keylan Boone made two more free throws for the final margin.

UNLV will play its second straight road game on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at Fresno State. The 8 p.m. contest will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. UNLV's next home game will be on Saturday, Feb. 17 vs. UNR at 8:30 p.m.
