Rebels dominate exhibitions
Neither game was supposed to be close and neither were. UNLV won two games sandwiched around the New Year, smashing Carroll College (MT) 87-51 and following that up with a victory over winless Bethesda (CA) 112-56.
Given the Rebels start out conference play at San Diego State and follow it with home games versus New Mexico and Utah State before heading to Boise and ranked Colorado State, the two game set against poor competition was little more than trying to keep the rust away.
Neither game was close at any point and as expected, the Rebels dominated every facet of the two with little sweat.
The Rebels open Mountain West conference play on Saturday, January 6th at San Diego State.
