It took little time for the Rebels to tame the Aztecs at Allegiant Stadium Saturday night. Behind the strength of three touchdowns from Hajj-Malik Williams, the Rebels sprinted to a 28-6 halftime lead and coasted the rest of the way.

Williams finished 20-of-29 passing for 244 yards and ran for touchdowns of 12 and seven yards.

It was the Aztecs fourth straight loss and mathematically eliminated them from any post season chances. The win kept UNLV’s conference championship hopes alive, but they’ll need to win their last two while Colorado State drops one.

Jacob De Jesus returned to the field after missing last game. The multi-threat caught seven passes for 75 yards , rushed twice for 42 net yards and returned five punts for 35 yards, with a long of 14.

The Rebels will close out their regular-season road schedule with a trip to San Jose State on Friday. Kickoff on FS1 is set for 7 p.m
