On the heels of a 59-14 thrashing of Fresno State Saturday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium, the UNLV Rebels cracked the top 25 of the Associated Press Poll.

The Rebels entered the poll at #25 and the Rebels, who broke into the Coaches Poll last week, remain at #23 in that poll.

It's the first time UNLV has been ranked in the AP Poll since entering D1 in 1978.

The Rebels place their ranking on the line in a Friday night affair at Allegiant against Syracuse (3-1). Kick off is set for 6 p.m. PT and the game will be shown nationally on FS1.

The Rebels opened as a four point favorite.
